A Dedicated Vocal & Piano Mentor
My piano lessons and vocal coaching stem from a deep, lifelong relationship with music. It began when I started playing the piano in 2nd Grade. In university, I discovered music was like a second language to me. My early college days even found my Music 101 professor leaving me in charge of half the class! Each semester I continuously made the Dean's List for my high scores in music classes. I strongly believe music is a gift every one of us has an aptitude for. I hope to be able to share that love and understanding with others, even as I constantly feed my own appetite for further musical education.
I have been teaching piano and vocals for nearly 15 years. My stage Vocal Directing debut working on Peter Pan Jr. at Los Altos Youth Theatre, was an overwhelming experience. Helping singers find their voices had me hooked, and I have since worked on many theatre productions in various directorial and consultant capacities. Some of my favorites have been Little Women, Frozen Jr., Willy Wonka, and 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. I have also had the privilege of teaching choir at a private school in Santa Clara for two years. I'm thrilled to venture further out on my own, helping pianists and vocalists release the beautiful music I know already dwells within them.
